K12Alternative Summit: Teaching Theology in Worship

Outreach Christian Education 1 min read , July 6, 2020
Daniel Dugan

Dan Dugan was homeschooled K-12 and graduated with a clear call to vocational ministry, which he acted on by attending Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He utilized MBI’s distance learning program so that he could complete his degree while serving in his home church, Calvary Bible Church, in East Stroudsburg, Pa. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and has served on staff at CBC as youth director and worship leader and will join on staff as music director in September. He hopes to return to Moody Seminary in the not- too-distant future to receive his M.A. in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship. Dan has always felt a call from God to use his passion for youth and music for ministry both inside and outside the local church, and God has continued to bless him by opening doors to be able to do just that. He prays that he will continue to be able to serve God’s people, teaching them through the Word in pulpit ministry, as well as teaching and encouraging them through songs, hymns, and spiritual songs. Dan and his wife Alyssa have been married since January of 2019 and are expecting their first child! They are thrilled to begin a family, raising up godly powerhouses for Christ who will make disciples and impact their world with the gospel of Christ!
